What if you could explore the Arctic with Canadian icon Margaret Atwood?
One lucky VMM supporter will get to find out. Award-winning Canadian author Margaret Atwood will be part of the expedition team for the VMM Raffle grand prize trip, Iceland to Greenland: In the Wake of Vikings with Adventure Canada.
Iceland to Greenland: In the Wake of Vikings promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The winner and their guest will be flown to Reykjavík, Iceland where the adventure will begin on July 13, 2021. The journey will follow the original route of Eric the Red sailed to Greenland.
The trip will take place aboard Ocean Endeavour, a 198-passenger expedition vessel built for Arctic waters. Ocean Endeavour is well laid out and spacious, offering guests ample space for private deck time, thoughtful gatherings for learning opportunities and creature comforts such as a sauna and spa.
The expedition explores the seldom-seen coastline of southern Greenland and features stops at archaeological sites. It also includes zodiac trips to get a closer look glaciers and Arctic wildlife. The final stop in this Arctic adventure is Kangerlussuaq, Greenland on July 24, 2021. The winner and their guest will be flown home to British Columbia.
