Evening at the Museum: Annual Fundraising Party
Supported by title sponsor Teekay and supporting sponsor Robert Allan LTD, prepare for an extraordinary evening on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, as the Vancouver Maritime Museum hosts its signature Annual Fundraiser: Maritime Masquerade!
Wednesday, July 23rd 7:00pm–11pm
This is a special night that promises to dazzle and inspire, all while supporting a nonprofit committed to preserving maritime heritage, fostering education, and advancing reconciliation in our community.
Set on the museum terrace with breathtaking, unobstructed views of English Bay, you’ll witness the spectacular Honda Celebration of Light fireworks-one of the world’s longest-running and most celebrated pyrotechnic competitions.
This year’s theme is a Maritime Masquerade. Guests are encouraged to dress in ocean-inspired attire—such as captain’s hats, sailor stripes, mermaid costumes, or other maritime-themed outfits and bring a masquerade mask. No pressure to participate but prizes will be given out to the best dressed/best mask!
Indulge in a gourmet food from Emelle’s Catering, featuring food stations and canapés on arrival, complemented by delectable desserts and popcorn. Sip on expertly crafted cocktails from our official partner, Bruinwood Estate Distillery, and enjoy exceptional local beverages by Parallel 49, music, scavenger hunt, 50/50 and the excitement of our live auction.
Enjoy lively entertainment throughout the night with captivating roving performers and dance the evening away to energetic beats.
Tickets:

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a gathering place for communities to reflect on maritime history and culture, exploring themes of immigration, reconciliation, climate change, and stories of adventure and survival. As the primary local repository for maritime history on the West Coast, our collection includes over 109,000 artifacts and archival materials (including books, photographs, navigational tools, Inuit art, belongings and the iconic National Historic Site, St. Roch).
Participating in this event supports dynamic programming activities and initiatives like Bridge to Learning, which provides fully subsidized museum visits for low-income and special needs schools. It also supports Open House days and Pay-What-You-Can Sundays, which remove financial barriers by opening the museum for free or by donation. By supporting our fundraiser, you champion these vital initiatives and share in our commitment to reconciliation, inclusion, access, and ongoing conservation work.
Donors and supporters like you make waves– join us for a magical night where every moment sparkles as brightly as the fireworks overhead. Mark your calendar and be part of a truly unforgettable evening!
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate, connect, and contribute to a great cause!
