Spend a summer evening exploring three of Vancouver’s most iconic cultural attractions at the Kits Point Patio Party.
For one night only, the Museum of Vancouver, Vancouver Maritime Museum, and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre are coming together to offer live music, hands-on activities, local vendors, waterfront views, and unique experiences across Kits Point.
Whether you’re interested in history, music, space exploration, local art, great food, or simply enjoying a summer evening by the water, there’s something for everyone at the Kits Point Patio Party.
WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Over at the Museum of Vancouver, enjoy an evening of live music featuring Romeo Reyes, Francis Baptiste, DFX Daffodil, and Lola Whyte, followed by an open mic session. Guests can also enjoy refreshing non-alcoholic mocktails and explore the museum galleries until 8:00 PM.

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre patio will be filled with creativity and discovery, featuring local artists and makers offering tarot readings, jewellery, caricatures, ceramics, and interactive arts and crafts. Enjoy seasonal refreshments, view the Sun through a solar telescope, and experience an immersive augmented reality journey through the Solar System.
At the Vancouver Maritime Museum, enjoy extended gallery hours until 8:00 PM and explore our fascinating exhibits, including the historic St. Roch. Then head out to our waterfront terrace, where you can relax in our beer garden, grab a bite from local food vendors, and take in spectacular views of English Bay.
Located in Sen̓áḵw on the ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəyəm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

Plus, there’ll be live music from talented fiddle player Doug Medley.
Doug Medley moved to San Francisco in 1969 and soon found himself playing electric violin with acid rock bands. Also known as Fiddler Gone Wild, Doug wears a grin on his face and his eyes light up when playing the fiddle. Doug has played many musical styles over the years, from punk new wave to baroque chamber music. Influenced by folk and country rock he combines his explosive fiddling with his passion for Maritime Music.

Welcome to the Space Centre Patio where creativity meets cosmic curiosity. Explore a curated collection of local artists, makers, and food vendors, discover handcrafted goods and unique artwork, enjoy sweet summer treats, and take part in interactive activities for all ages. From tarot readings and alcohol ink art to solar observing and augmented reality adventures through the Solar System, the patio will be buzzing with discovery, creativity, and summer fun all evening long.

While you’re on the Space Centre patio, be sure to check out the Augmented Reality Solar System Tour! This all-new augmented reality experience, created with Immersi Learn, lets visitors aged 5+ step inside the Solar System—no screens, just immersive discovery. With AR headsets and a guide, you’ll walk among planets, witness cosmic forces in action, and experience space in a fun, interactive way that’s as thrilling as it is unforgettable.
